3-Q:
Who’s on the
Board of Directors and what do they do? How often do they meet?
3-A: The Board of
Directors (BOD) is the primary decision making body of the Weatherstone HOA.
The BOD is composed of five people in accordance with the Association's
Articles. They are elected each year and make/delegate decisions and
processes in the best interest of the community. They typically meet
once-a-month and all meetings are open to the public.

4-Q:

4-A: To keep the
community more informed and to help plan community events, the Board has
formed a Social Committee, which is made up of a person from each block

5-Q:

6-Q:
What and where are the “common areas” in the Weatherstone
development?

7-Q:
Why don’t we have a gated community?
7-A: In order for
Weatherstone to be a gated community, the homeowners and the HOA would need
to own the streets, which would make us responsible for not only
maintenance, repair, snow removal, etc. but we would also be responsible for
the costs associated with installing and maintaining the
gates/guards/security system. To do so would make dues in the approximate
vicinity of $160 per month per homeowner.

8-Q:
Why can’t we get mail delivered to our houses?
8-A: Mail
delivery is regulated by the Postmaster. We have no control over this.

9-Q:
What is the snow plowing/removal policy for
Weatherstone?
9-A: Weatherstone
contracts with various companies to complete the snow removal for
the common area sidewalks. Douglas County is in charge of the maintenance
and removal of snow on the streets in Weatherstone. If homeowners are
interested in having our streets plowed privately, please attend the next
meeting, indicate your interest and we can then estimate the increase in
dues it would take to maintain a policy of that nature.
